Why Does a Glass Cooktop Look Cloudy After Cleaning?
Clean doesn’t always mean finished.
One thing I’ve learned through years of professional cleaning is that a surface can be technically clean and still not look clean.
Glass and glass cooktops are especially good at revealing what’s left behind. Product residue, minerals from water, grease that has been spread into an extremely thin layer, and even residue from your cleaning cloth can become much more noticeable after the surface dries.
That’s why I always like to look at reflective surfaces from different angles and, whenever possible, check them again after they’ve dried.
Sometimes that’s when you discover what still needs attention.
